It was a grand opening at Max Health Club Aan de Vliet. Where the gym Westvliet Family Sports & Health Club was still located in the summer of 2022, today the first piles were driven into the ground by none other than the mayor of The Hague, Jan van Zanen. Starting signal for a thorough renovation with a swimming pool as the first milestone to be achieved.

The mayor has promised that when the pool is finished, he will also take the very first dip here. Together with journalist and trusted club member Frits Wester, who talked up the program this morning, he will soon take up the challenge.

New owners Jacco Helmink and Niels Renes are transforming the club, which is already open to visitors, into a luxury gym that will soon include a swimming pool and extensive wellness facilities. The pool is not just for adults; there will also be a second Max Health Club swim school so more children can start getting their diplomas.
